2024 Brother-to-Brother 20th Annual Retreat

The Twentieth Annual Brother-to-Brother Retreat convened community leaders, clergy,healthcare professionals, and advocates to examine the intersection of environmental justice, health equity, and community empowerment. Grounded in Revelation 11:18, the retreat emphasized stewardship, accountability, and justice for communities disproportionately impacted by environmental and health disparities.

Key program highlights included:

• Environmental justice and health discussions led by faith and community leaders
• Men’s health education, including prostate cancer awareness and preventative care
• Mental health reframed through an inclusive and culturally responsive lens
• African American culture, family systems, and intergenerational responsibility
• Global perspectives on justice and development, including the Brother-to-Brother GhanaExperience
• Opportunities for private pastoral counseling and collective worship

The retreat reaffirmed Brother-to-Brother’s commitment to addressing systemic inequitiesaffecting Black men, families, and neighborhoods while strengthening spiritual growth and brotherhood.
